Cat News 2008

Connecticut Post on August 15,2008 had an article captioned " Carjacked Cat Survives city".

This heartwarming event is one we thought needed to be  shared with our readers.  Our  summary:

On July 31, 2008, a ten year old cat who was sitting in Victor Messicks jeep Wrangler, disappeared when this jeep was stolen in Bridgeport, Connecticut.   Mr. Messick for two weeks persistently tried to locate his lost cat working with local mail carriers, cab drivers, firefighters and city’s animal shelter. When handing out fliers with photos of his missing cat at the Thomas Merton House , someone recognized  cat Parsley. It was a maintenance worker named Carlos Baez at the soup kitchen there. Mr. Baez told Mr. Messick that there was a mysterious female cat that was coming around the Merton House for a while and that this female cat recently was hanging around with  a cat that looked like Parsley.  Mr. Baez took Mr. Messick to see this female cat who in turn brought Mr. Messick  to her buddy.  With much joy, Mr. Messick saw that it was indeed his  beloved  cat Parsley.  It appeared that cat Parsley suffered no  injuries  and was taken home by his owner.   In not giving up and keeping the hope alive, cat Parsley was safe at home at last.
